About the counterbalance course

Our counterbalance forklift course gives operators the skills and confidence to handle loads safely across warehouses, yards and loading areas. Whether you are training a brand new operator or refreshing an experienced one, the content is matched to their level.

Training combines classroom theory with hands-on practical sessions, finishing with a formal assessment. Successful operators receive nationally recognised RTITB certification.

It depends on experience. Novice courses typically run over several days, while refresher and conversion courses are shorter. We confirm the exact length after a quick assessment of the operators.

Yes. We can deliver training on your own site using your equipment and layout, or at our training centre in Trafford Park, whichever suits you best.

On successful completion operators receive RTITB-accredited certification, which is recognised nationally and meets HSE and insurer expectations.

To keep training effective we usually cap groups at three operators per course. We can arrange multiple sessions for larger teams.
